Here’s the lesson I learned from this episode: Marlins fans should be expected to fill Marlins Park to watch the $*** Jeffy Loria puts on the field. That’s exactly how Dolfans feel about carpetbagger Stephen Ross and his mini-me Jeffy Ireland. Plus, some people see going to games as extremely cost-prohibitive. The only way my dad was ankle to take me to games was when Winn-Dixie sold discounted tickets in the early-to-mid 90s. And even then, we managed to sneak food and drinks inside the stadium. Good luck doing that in this post-9/11 world. I shouldn’t have to pay $70 per person (our, more likely, $100 per person) for such a $**ty product.

Oh, and count me as one of those who would be willing to eat humble pie if Jeffy does somehow figure it out. I was going to do that with Tannehill, whom I was calling Akili Smith 2.0 and David Carr 2.0 when he was drafted, but his awful stretch where Russell Wilson, Brandon Weeden, and Colin Kaepernick have percolated him have caused me to hold my tongue on that.

Also, why does it seem like it’s always the Ireland-lovers who uncontrollably piss on the fans for their boy’s failures? Hey, here’s a hint: START TREATING THE FAN AS A CONSUMER AND NOT AS AN OBLIGATED SLAVE! HOW DARE YOU!!!
