Ross Needs To Come Clean

Ross's time to act is now.
Dolphin fans know the mess we are in. The coach is obviously walking on eggshells when he has an outburst during the game towards the referee begging for a review to help protect him from being fired. It’s sad, and quite honestly Sparano might have his faults, but in my mind he deserves better. There has certainly been a lack of respect from the owner, and GM towards him. It is also being reported his home is now for sale. I certainly wouldn’t want to be in his shoes.

Even so, he has handled the situation with professionalism, and class. I hope he finds a position where he can succeed somewhere.
If Ireland somehow manages to remain with the team, I for one am going to be an unhappy camper. Every move he has made has backfired to some degree, and he needs to go. Losman? Really? <gasp> That move smacks of desperation. And, is just another example of a long line of poor planning, and mistakes in the personnel department.
Mike Dee is not a football guy, and he is not a South Florida guy. I like Mike, but this is not an ideal situation for him, and this is too important a position within the franchise not to have the right guy. If I am Ross, I keep him, but reassign him to some other position.
There are several rumors that Bill Cowher is in line to replace Sparano, and is currently working to acquire assistant coaches. Now, I believe Cowher will be a top choice, along with Gruden, but I can’t imagine these rumors being true at this time. Again Ross needs to come clean, and deny the reports.
The complaint I have from the PR department is all the sources leaking each week that Sparano is safe for another week. Ross needs to show some balls and just come out and say what is on his mind. A vote of confidence is not enough, when on the other hand he said he must win to keep his job. He is twisting in the wind and it is not fair to the team. And it will help shelf those questions the coach repeatedly is receiving.
Come out and say we’ll make a determination at seasons end. Or come out and say I am disappointed in the subpar results, and we are reevaluating the staff on a week to week basis, but honesty is deserved here, rather then leaking things to the media. It undermines the coach, and that has to help in him losing the locker room. Even come out and say we’ll look at the situation again in a month. But, leaving your coach is this position doesn’t help anything, and continues to leave Miami in a negative light nationally. Ideally, all things considered my opinion is the coach should be guaranteed the season regardless of the results.
Stephen Ross is the leader of the team, and in my mind he is contributing to the perception we are an organization in disarray. That is not going to help him in any future recruitment efforts.
Ultimately, I believe Stephen needs to hire a Vice President of football Operations, whose responsibility will be to oversee all aspects of the football side of the operation. He is not a football guy, and neither is Mike Dee. When you look at the cause of the problem it begins there.
Gator Day? What an embarrassment. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/26/dolphins-players-not-fans-of-tebow-day/
My personal opinion after reading those quotes, is simple. Win. Win and Andrew Luck becomes an after thought. So Yeremiah, and Anthony should focus on the things they can control, rather then the things that can’t. Just win. It’s as simple as that.

Dolphins’ 5 Keys to Victory over Broncos
5 Keys to Victory
1) Stack the line of scrimmage. Tebow’s strengths are pretty straight-forward: he’s a dangerous rusher and brings a certain level of energy to the offense. As a passer, though, Tebow’s decision-making skills and release are slow at best. Flooding the line of scrimmage and constant blitzing will force Tebow to throw accurately inside the pocket, which isn’t his strength.
2) Force-feed WR Brandon Marshall. At 0-5, it’s time to see what our perceived “Star Players” are made of in preparation for 2012. We all saw the best (6-108 vs. Darrelle Revis) and worst (another dropped TD, falling clumsily out of bounds in Q2) of Marshall against the Jets on Monday Night. “The Monster” should have more than enough motivation to destroy a Broncos secondary yielding a league-worst 106.5 rating to opposing QB’s.
3) Run at OLB Von Miller. Miller, the #2 overall pick, was benched in the Broncos’ last game because his obsession with sacking the QB wiped him out of run plays. If OC Brian Daboll designs a pass-heavy gameplan, draws to Thomas or Bush should result in consistent 5-10 yard gains.
4) Spy Tebow with LB Karlos Dansby. The Broncos lack a pass-receiving threat at TE, which should be music to Mike Nolan’s ears. It would be wise for Nolan to use Damsby as a spy for the run-first Tim Tebow.
5) Use RB Reggie Bush in the passing game. Are you getting tired ot hearing it? Good. Because I’m getting tired of talking about it. After a 9-catch debut, Bush has 6 catches for 38 yards in the last 4 games Getting Thomas and Bush on the field at the same time is the Dolphins’ only hope for an offensive turnaround.
Prediction: Dolphins 16, Broncos 10. Matt Moore will happy to see a poor Broncos secondary after struggling against the Jets and Chargers in his first two outings. Something tells me Tebow will have the ball in his hands with a chance to win in the final 2 minutes. This time, the Defense comes up with a stop. We deserve it, don’t we?
5 Picks vs. Spread
1) Packers -9 over VIKINGS. I projected this line to be 13, so this is highway robbery. The Vikings will be without CB’s Antoine Winfield and Chris Cook, as well as S Jamarca Sanford against a Packers offense holding 7 players with 10+ catches.
Packers 34, Vikings 17
2) Ravens -8 over JAGUARS. QB Joe Flacco is due for a big game, and I think he’ll get it on primetime. The Jaguars look to be in rebuilding mode at 1-5. This will be just another hard-knocks lesson for QB Blaine Gabbert as he continues his development. Ravens 27, Jaguars 10
3) PANTHERS -2½ over Redskins. QB Cam Newton always seems to keep games close, regardless of the opponent. Despite a 3 INT performance in last week’s loss against the Falcons, he’s better than his 1-4 record and 78.3 QB rating indicates.
Panthers 34, Redskins 21
4) Over 43 – PANTHERS vs. Redskins. The Panthers D gives up 6.01 YPC to opposing starting RB’s and a 99.8 QB rating to opposing starting QB’s. John Beck or not, I can’t see this Defense holding the Redskins to less than two scores.
Panthers 34, Redskins 21
5) DOLPHINS -1 over Broncos See above.
Dolphins 16, Broncos 10
Record to Date: 10-5

Cat
